The campus seller problem
Across Nigerian campuses — UNILAG, UI, OAU, ABU, UNIBEN, and beyond — thousands of students run real businesses from their phones. They sell sneakers, phone accessories, skincare, fashion, and food to other students through WhatsApp status updates, Instagram DMs, and Telegram groups.
The numbers look great: student buying power on Nigerian campuses runs into billions of naira each year, and social commerce is the default channel.
